Prior to attending Medical Training College, I was searching for a career path; unsure of which direction to go in or where to start. I chose to study Medical Assistant because the job duties were something I felt I would be interested in. I enjoy working 1-on-1 with people and helping them feel better. I had heard wonderful things about Medical Training College and a few of my friends suggested it.
The teachers were hands-on and passionate. They made the process interesting and informative. I also enjoyed the med lab hands-on class. I find I learn better trying things out myself. The externship program at Medical Training College gave me a chance to see/try things before being 100% responsible for it myself. It (the externship) showed me I was ready to go out on my own. Again, I believe the teachers made the biggest impact on me. I loved hearing their real life stories about their experiences and hearing their advice.
Medical Terminology made the biggest impact on my skills. Without that, I’d be lost every day. I believe knowing the basics set me for success.
I would absolutely recommend MTC to others! MTC has made my life a success story! After completing the course, I bought a house of my own. I never thought I’d be independent with a good job at such a fast rate.
I work for a local ENT and my daily activities include calling back patients, getting their info. & vitals, recording data such as vitals & meds, recording exams, giving injections, allergy testing, etc. I have a ton of responsibility, but I enjoy it.
I love my job – thank you all @ MTC!

At MTC, I liked that all the teachers there were always very helpful and never judged you. I really enjoy my new career and where I work. I work in the imaging department; scheduling, arriving patients, keying tickets.

What I liked most at MTC was the teachers. Mrs. Broussard, Mrs. Mcghee and Mrs. Houng were awesome and patient teachers. I learned a lot from all 3 of you.
